Algarve coast:
this beautiful coastal drive takes visitors along the southern coast of Portugal, with plenty of lovely seaside villages and golf courses to visit along the way. Explore stunning beaches from Parque de Armacao de Pera and end the journey by resting at Campsite Turiscampo near the quaint town of Lagos.
Alentejo coast:
this drive goes north along the west coast, passing through the Parque Natural do Sudoeste Alentejano e Costa Vientina and ending in Setubal. Stay overnight in RV sites such as Campismo S Miguel or Parque de Campismo de Porto Covo.
Southern interior:
from Faro to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Evora, through the hilly interior and past picturesque towns and villages such as Mertola, Beja and Mourao. There is a great array of camping sites to stop at, including Campsite Markadia and Campsite Obitur Evora, among others.
Campervan Parks Faro
The Campervan Parks near Faro is on the southern coast of Portugal with access to the Atlantic Ocean. There are waterfalls, endless beaches, wildlife and water parks to enjoy.
The Faro Campervan Park is by far the easiest one to remember and is just 10 minutes from Faro town principal and 5 minutes drive from the beach. The gravel pitches have both electrical and water hookups. On site are also wastewater and chemical disposal stations.
Amenities include internet access, Wi-Fi, showers, launderette, on site restaurant and charging facility. This is a kid and dog friendly park. Nearby is the beach, water parks and numerous foot trails to explore along with Celtic forts and Moorish siege caves to see.
Campsite Albufeira is to the west of Faro and just 1.5 km north of Albufeira on the coast. The pitches have electrical hookups and the caravan maximum size not to exceed 5.5 meters and motorhomes not to exceed 8 meters.
Amenities include 3G internet, restrooms with baby room and showers, Fresh bread daily, grocery store, launderette, restaurant, snack bar and drinking bar. For the kids, there is a swimming pool and playground. This is a green campground and family friendly.
Parque de Campismo Orbitur Quarteira is also west of Faro but only 600 meters from the beach. The pitches have both electrical and water hookups on wooded sites. The site is terraced so the views are wonderful. The park is also just 1 km from the town principal of Quarteira.
Amenities include restrooms, showers, Wi-Fi, swimming pool, launderette, restaurant, bar, playground TV room and dog walk area. Quiet hour begins at 11 pm nightly and the site is family and dog friendly. For vehicle maintenance, there is an RV service station and a car wash.
